The principals of I-Group are an experienced team.
Stephen Roy, President:
Mr. Roy has spearheaded many of I-Group's initiatives since the company's founding in 1973, including four energy efficient combined cycle gas-fired power plants. Under Mr. Roy's leadership, I-Group raised over $1.5 billion in project financing for a variety of energy and infrastructure projects, and the infrastructure assets owned by the company generated in excess of $300M annually. Mr. Roy holds B.A., M. Ed. and M.B.A. degrees from Harvard University.
Ellen Roy Herzfelder, Senior Advisor:
Ms. Roy Herzfelder served as Secretary of the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts between 2000 and 2003. She is a past President of the National Association of Independent Power Producers. Prior to joining I-Group in 1987, Ms. Roy Herzfelder worked for Prudential Venture Capital. She holds a B.A. degree from Harvard University, and an M.B.A. degree from the Sloan School at M.I.T., where she has since been a lecturer.
Maureen Herbert, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer:
Prior to joining I-Group in 1987, Ms. Herbert was a senior consultant with PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Ms. Herbert holds a B.S. degree in accounting and finance from Northeastern University.
James Blakey, Vice President & General Counsel:
Prior to joining I-Group in 1992, Mr. Blakey was a partner with the New York City law firm Kronish, Lieb, Weiner & Hellman (now Cooley, Godward, Kronish) focusing on venture capital and corporate and project finance. Mr. Blakey holds an A.B. degree from Dartmouth College and a J.D. degree from Boston University.
Marc Herdegen, Vice President for Acquisitions:
Prior to joining I-Group, Mr. Herdegen was a consultant at Bain & Company specializing in energy and financial services, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions in Bain's Private Equity Group. He is a former captain in the US Army, and served as a helicopter pilot in Iraq. Mr. Herdegen holds a B.S. in economics from West Point, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
